Fall Is Just Around the Corner

With the cool weather coming, it is always a great time to make a steaming pot of soup to warm you up. 

The Grain Valley Branch has a great selection of cookbooks that have a variety of soup recipes in them, such as: New England Soup Factory Cookbook, by Marjorie Druker and Clara Silverstein. It includes recipes like vidalia onion soup, beef tomato corn and basil Soup, chili con carne, pumpkin and white bean soup, as well as many more soup varieties.

Another book to try is 100 Soups for $5 or Less by Gayle Pierce. This book includes recipes for itsy bitsy noodle soup, crushed corn chowder, chicken with wild rice, cream of broccoli, navy beans and ham, and baked potato soup. Are you hungry yet?
