ESL Conversations

How many languages do you think are spoken in our communities? I counted about 20 so far. English Language Learners are the fastest growing population in public schools across the United States. This growth of culturally and linguistically diverse students provides an opportunity for us to interact with families who have different life experiences, world views, cultures, and languages. 

At the Antioch Branch, we have created ESL Conversations, a 6-week long program for non-native English speakers and English speakers to practice conversing. We will meet twice on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and at 7 p.m. from June 15th – July 20th.

If you know of anybody in need of practicing their English speaking skills or interested in speaking to people of other languages, please invite them to join us.
