Employee of the Month of September

This month we are honoring Terri as our Employee of the Month for September! Terri took a few minutes out of her busy schedule (she was cutting and stapling little books for her preschool visits) to answer some questions:

Me: Terri, what is your job at the library here in Excelsior Springs?

Terri: My main job is the children’s programs, like storytimes and outreach to the daycares and preschools, but I also work at the desk.

Me: How many storytimes do you have?

Terri: Three - Monday at 6:00 p.m. is Family Storytime, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. is Toddler Time, and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. is Preschool Time, and then I do most of the outreach on Thursdays.

Me: Can you tell us what the outreach to the daycares is?

Terri: I read stories to the local daycare & preschool children, and we have fun! I tell them when they come to the Library to ask for Ms. Terri so I can say "hi"!

Me: So what’s your favorite part about working at the Library?

Terri: The KIDS! They are my favorite thing about working at the Library! And I like working with Bob!
