Dream Big, Read!
May 14, 2012
Summertime is just around the corner, so how do we keep the reading bug alive?
Sign up for the Summer Reading Program at any Mid-Continent Public Library Branch!
Fun ways to make reading enjoyable:
- Find a favorite topic that your child enjoys.
- Select a designated reading time during the day.
- Check out books relating to summer activities.
- Read together as a family.
Ages birth to 11 may sign up for the children’s program. The theme this year is Dream Big, Read!
The program begins May 21st and ends July 31st, 2012.
Listeners:
Read 24 books with your listener (birth to age 6) to earn a free book.
Readers:
Readers (ages 6 to 11) earn a free paperback book for every 360 minutes read.
Both listeners and readers may select a non-book prize instead of a 3rd book. You may log your books online or pick up a reading log at a branch.
We would like to encourage the children to continue reading after they have completed all three levels.
Please contact your Library Branch if you have any questions.
