Drawing With Kids

Recently, the Claycomo Branch of MCPL hosted a program called Drawing With Kids. It was presented by artist and teacher Danna York. This was an exceptional presentation aimed at children aged 5 and up.

Danna is a talented and patient teacher who successfully engaged all the kids who attended. She gave them exercises which even the youngest could succeed at. The highlight of the program was her talking the young artists through a drawing of Starry Starry Night by Van Gogh. They were all able to take home their own version of the work.

If you have young children who are at all interested in art and drawing, keep an eye on MCPL’s Events Page for the next branch Danna will be at. It will be well worth your time to attend.
