Draw Something!

August 15, 2012

I’ll be the first to admit that drawing isn’t my forte. Generally speaking, when I draw, it tends to be stick people who need some serious help. However, when I saw Draw Something, a free app for iPhone and Android, I knew it would be fun. All of my non-drawing friends were instantly hooked, and I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.

In Draw Something, you choose one of three words to draw a picture of so that your opponent can guess the word. Your opponent then views your drawing and sees everything in the order of how you drew it. Ten letters are scrambled below your drawing to help your opponent guess what the drawing is. As you guess drawings correctly, you earn coins that can be used to purchase more colors to draw with.

The point of the game is to have fun. No one wins or loses. You can view your stats to see how many pictures you’ve guessed right. If you need help drawing, like I do, we have tons of books on how to draw. Check out some of the following:

Drawing Pets and Farm Animals by Trevor Cook
Drawing Sea Creatures by Rebecca Clunes
How to Draw Animals in Simple Steps by Polly Pinder

Happy drawing!
