Dr. Seuss Celebration

January 27, 2011

I'm the mayor of Raytown, I am, I am.
I'm coming to the library, so bring the fam.
I'll be reading The Cat in the Hat
With other fun stuff and all that.

We're celebrating the birth of Dr. Seuss.
With Raytown's mayor on the loose.
For real, it's not a ruse.
You silly goose.

You really should come.
You can't help but win.
Not the election.
But a great big grin.
You bookish people of biblio-blin.

So get online and be sure to sign up.
Bring the whole family-excepting the pup.
The Cat in the Hat would be chased by the dog.
That would leave the mayor agog.

Hope by now you've elected to come.
( That was not a political pun. )
I'm sure we'll all have an evening of fun.
If this little blog hasn't got the mayor on the run!
