Dippity Doo Dah

March 14, 2012

March 23 is National Chip and Dip Day. If you’re throwing a party, or just want something to feast on while watching TV, chips and dip is a good way to go. Be it tortilla chips and salsa, or potato chips and ranch, or French onion dip, it’s all good. If you like fresh vegetables, or perhaps grow your own vegetables, why not try making a homemade salsa? Here are a few suggestions for books that can help you create your own dips:

  • Dip It : Great Party Food to Spread, Spoon, and Scoop by Rick Rodgers
  • The Complete Book of Sauces, Salsas, Dips, Relishes, Marinades & Dressings by Christine France
  • Chips, Dips and Salsas and Judy Hille Walker
  • The Encyclopedia of Homemade Dips : the Complete Guide to Creating 100 Spreads, Fondues, and Dips by Dawn Stock
