Dancing with the Stars, They Sweat and So Can You!

Fierce competition. Rockstars. Laughter. Tears. Abs…yes, season 14 of Dancing with the Stars is in full swing. The level of talent this season is high, so any of the good dancers could go home at any time. Sherry Shepherd’s elimination proves it. She certainly has some talent and a dazzling smile that won the crowd over. There’s so much potential in these celebrities. It’s going to be a close race. Three celebrities have gone home. Who will be next?

I have watched many seasons of Dancing with the Stars. So much so that I can usually predict from the judges’ comments what scores they are going to give. Also, I typically know whether the celebrity is holding his/her frame correctly or doing enough content/technique to satisfy Len (head judge).

All this being said, one of my favorite things about DWTS is that it has helped me grow a love for ballroom dancing. I wish ballroom dancing would flourish in our culture. It is an art. It truly takes talent, practice, and dedication…and it’s fun!

But while I wait for the world to return to the Fred Astaire era, I have found a way to at least enjoy a small piece of the beautiful dancing. I have discovered dance exercise videos that fit into my daily schedule. Sometimes I learn a few steps, but mostly I appreciate it because it truly is a fast way to lose weight/tone up.

If you haven’t given dance exercise videos a try, I officially challenge you to give it a go. (You won’t have a table of judges giving you a score at the end.) It makes exercising more fun, and it works!
