Counting Library Visitors

Did you know the library keeps track of the number of customers who come to visit each day? Each time the door to the Library is opened our number is increased by one. At the end of the day, the total is divided by two since the door is opened twice by each visitor, once when they arrive and once when they leave. The number isn’t exact, of course, since sometime people arrive and leave as groups. It does, however, give us an approximate number of the people using the Library. In February, a total of 13,809 customers visited the North Oak Branch! This is even after the Library was closed two and a half days due to inclement weather.
