Commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War

Mid-Continent Public Library's Veterans Salute will be Saturday, October 23 at the Platte City Branch. The event runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

One of the highlights to this year's event is commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War. We will have representatives from the Korean War Veterans Association, as well as members of the 1st Marines that fought in Korea. The different organizations will have display tables with information about the Korean War, as well as their personal memorabilia. Everyone is welcome to attend, and this is your chance to thank a veteran for their service to this country.
