Come Out To the Fair!
July 08, 2011
The 4th of July has come and gone and it seems like the start of school is sneaking around the corner, but don't despair! There is still plenty of summer left, and what says summer more than a county fair.
Clay County 4-H Fair Days and The Lawson City Picnic and Carnival are happening right now, and there are many more events over the next couple months:
Ray County is having their fair July 15 - 23 at the Ray County Fairgrounds in Richmond. There will be tractor pulls, livestock shows, auctions, and several other events. There is also a Fashion Review and Show at the Eagleton Civic Center on the 11th. Take a look at the calendar of events for more information.
The Woolery Memorial Pow-Wow is running July 15 - 17 at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia. It is an intertribal American Indian gathering with dancing, cultural events, food, arts and crafts!
The Platte County Fair is also July 20 - 23 and features 4-H exhibits, a petting zoo, a carnival and a demolition derby.
And we shouldn't forget the Missouri State Fair! It's A Show-Me Thing! is happening August 11 - 21 at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.
