Claycomo Board of Trustees Meeting – Rescheduled until 1/15/13

The first Claycomo Board of Trustees meeting for the new year was set for last night at 7:30 p.m.

Chairman Pro-tem Marina Barker was in attendance. Board Trustee Jim Stoufer was away on a planned absence. As Board Trustee Debbie Taylor was ill and Board Trustees Greg Thompson and Ben Watkins were unable to attend, the meeting was adjourned until this evening, Tuesday, 1/15/13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Claycomo Community Building.

Among topics to be discussed, the soon-to-be revised pole barn ordinance will be revisited with more details including potential building plans.

We last visited the Claycomo Board of Trustees on their 12/10/12 meeting. They did meet again for the second of their twice monthly meetings on 12/27/12 to approve payment of regular village bills and to approve a disbursement for Fire Chief Stewart’s request for one set of turnout gear.

Turnout gear refers to the protective gear worn by firefighters and sometimes also for the storage bags for that equipment. The cost for this set was $1,700.

During the 12/27/12 meeting, a situation involving a sewer backup at the Claycomo Plaza was discussed. Joseph Norris relayed the details that large clogs containing grease were to blame and added he had requested a copy of the grease trap cleaning logs for the businesses – restaurants in particular – that are located in the plaza.

The Board of Trustees meets on the second and fourth Mondays of every month at the Claycomo Community Building located at 28 S. Drake, Claycomo, MO, at 7:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public.
