Classic Books
March 11, 2011
According to Webster's dictionary, the word classic means "serving as a standard of excellence: of recognized value." I always think of a classic as all those books you should read in your lifetime. Some may have been required reading in high school or college, others have just stood the test of time and still remain books people talk about.
For a list of Juvenile Classic books, go to home page and click on the category Books, Movies, Music. On the left side of the page, click on Juvenile Series and Sequels. Then click on series Subject, and choose Classics.
So if you wonder why people still read Little Women and Anne of Green Gables, or why To Kill a Mockingbird is still popular after 50 years, then find a classic book on the list and check it out from MCPL. Enjoy your reading!
