Christmas In July!
June 20, 2011
This is the time of year that most people are working on their tans, although there are some organized people who are spending this time planning for the holidays. These are the people who make Christmas gifts, or do a lot of holiday entertaining. Now is the time to start those crafts! That way, November and December can be a time to enjoy the season instead of spending your time rushing around. Join us at the Antioch Branch for Christmas in July!
- Starting on Monday, July 11th at 10 a.m., the Antioch Quilters and Stitchers will learn how to make an ornament.
- Then on Tuesday, July 12th at 7 p.m., there will be a program teaching how to make a Stitch and Flip Christmas Table Topper. This is a fun and easy way to use those leftover fabrics and scraps that can be used as a centerpiece or placemat.
- Finally, on Tuesday, July 19th at 6:30 p.m., we will have another program; it is called Herbalicious Holiday Meals. You can hear about some new holiday recipes that you can try now so you will be a professional by the time you have to show your talents to your family and friends. Bring your appetites, there will be samples!!
Don’t forget to check out our DIY database, Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center, and some of the holiday titles at the library. Here are some favorites:
