Children's Books, Children's Books, Now Let's Enjoy Some Children's Books!

December 17, 2012

I am sure you have heard some say, "What is your favorite book?" I've been with the Library for almost 19 years, and I have heard those words a time or two. My answer is always a children's book.

Between reading to daycares and reading to my children, I get a lot of children's books read. Over the years, I have noticed that children love books with music or some kind of sound. A few of my favorites are:

Little Children's Music Book by Fiona Watts

What's That Noise, Little Mouse? by Stephanie Stansbie

The Very Noisy Jungle by Kathryn White

Children are amazed at books that make sound, and it really grabs their attention. A couple of my other favorites (without sound) are Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson and He Came With the Couch by David Slonim.

However, my utmost favorite children's book would have to be Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin. This book is so much fun! Considering that I've read the same book nine or more times to daycares, this book doesn't get old. The children love it almost as much as me! So, tell me, what's your favorite children's book?
