Have you had a chance to CHECK out the upcoming programs at the Antioch Branch? Did you notice the Chess humor?

Starting on October 11th at 7 p.m., we are having a 4 week program Learn to Play Chess. Nationally rated chess coaches Frank Whitsell and Ken Fee from the Kansas City Chess Club will be here to teach us how to play. Not only is it an incredibly fun board game, research says chess improves test scores on math and reading!

I remember teaching the kids how to play. It was great until they started asking me if I was letting them win! Have fun while learning about chess moves, important rules, and game etiquette, strategy, openings, endgame and tactics.
