Celebrate Youth Art Month @ Your Library
March 08, 2012
Youth Art Month is an annual observance each March to emphasize the value of Art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs.
Youth Art Month was created in 1961 by the ACML, a non-profit association of art and craft materials manufactures, in cooperation with the NAEA.
The North Oak Branch partners with the North Kansas City School District to display the amazing works of the students from within our community. During the month of March, we will proudly be exhibiting art from Winnetonka High School, Maple Park, New Mark, and East Gate Middle Schools (through the middle of March). Then, will display works from Chouteau and West Englewood Elementary along with Oak Park High School ( from March 15 through May 1).
We would like to invite you to show your support for our students by stopping in and seeing their artwork.
