Celebrate the 4th of July in Liberty!
June 18, 2012
July 4th is a national holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence. Most cities across America celebrate with lots of summertime activities. Liberty, Missouri is no exception. There are several events planned, and all are invited to come join the fun and festivities.
On Wednesday, July 4th, 2012, the celebration begins with a parade at 10:00 a.m. In order to show our patriotism, MCPL will be represented in the parade by several Liberty Staff. It is also a fun way for the staff to support our community, and it's a great honor to be involved.
There are lots of other exciting events planned for the day. There will be vendors, a car cruise, music, and a barbecue competition. At 9:45 p.m., an awe-inspiring fireworks display will light up the sky at William Jewell College.
Red, white, and blue are the colors of the day. Show your patriotic spirit, and come celebrate with Liberty!
