The CD I Can't Stop Playing
March 01, 2011
Alright, it's time for a confession - I adore Kenny Rogers. I have been crazy about him since I was in elementary school and he was on country radio, singing with Dolly. I will even admit that at one time I knew every word of "Islands in the Stream." I was in the third grade, and my friend and I spent more than one afternoon on the playground singing our hearts out. The CD I can't stop playing this week is Kenny Roger's A Love Song Collection.
Kenny Rogers told People Magazine in 1980, "The key to my success is romance." The 17 songs on this album, from 1978's "She Believes in Me" to 1999's "Buy Me a Rose" are proof that Kenny sings love songs best. If you are even just the teeniest bit sentimental, I think you'll find something you like on this CD. If you are a self-proclaimed "hopeless romantic", well play on sister. You might even need a kleenex or two.
