Carving Out Craft Time
June 08, 2011
Do you enjoy handcrafts? Handcrafts can be anything you create with your hands: sewing, quilting, knitting, needlepoint, embroidery, etc. Do you find that whenever you finally have a few minutes to dedicate to your crafting, suddenly it’s time to prepare dinner for your family? Or, the washing machine is leaking? All you want is a few minutes to work on your special project, but the home front refuses to cooperate.
Let me invite you to a spa (of sorts) for crafters. On the first Thursday of each month, we meet at the Boardwalk Branch from 2 to 4 p.m. with other kindred spirits who also enjoy being creative. We also invite patrons, who are unavailable during daytime hours, to attend our gathering on the third Thursday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. You can confirm our meeting time and sign up online on the Boardwalk events page.
For those of you who have taken up a new craft, knitting for example, and need some help; we are more than happy to guide you through to the completion of your project. Perhaps you would like to take up a handcraft and do not know where to begin. Come to the Boardwalk Branch, and we will help you.
