Cars 2

June 30, 2011

Rev up your engines and get ready for a return to Radiator Springs in this summer's movie, Cars 2.

Following up with our personified car friends from where we left them in the first movie, Cars 2 is an action-packed heart-felt adventure that takes us around the world via the World Grand Prix.

As Lightning McQueen faces off with a prideful Italian racecar, his best friend Tow Mater finds himself caught up in the world of espionage. That's right, spy cars, which introduces two amazing new characters to the world. Finn McMissile is what James Bond would be if he was a car, and he's out to uncover a secret operation with all the gadgets and spy gear he's got. Also ladies, there's an equally awesome new female car in Holley Shiftwell, who goes from technical support to field agent overnight and is right out there fighting the bad cars along with the rest.

With all the action, car chases and explosions in this movie, you're already in for a treat. But the real heart comes in the message of the film: be true to your friends and true to yourself. Something best friends Lightning and Mater must discover as they each race to the finish line against the bad guys!

As always with Pixar's films, the movie is a visual treat for the older crowd (with beautiful settings in the car-world version of Tokyo, London, Italy and Paris) and full of laughs and fun for all ages!

And when you get home from the film, you can always check out all our books based on the movies!
