Capture A Moment
June 11, 2014
Have you ever wanted to capture a moment? Most people have a camera of some sorts, whether it is a full camera, an app on their phone or their tablet, or a homemade camera made out of a shoe box. No matter what you are using, a camera has the capability to capture a moment.
Now, getting the camera (or the app) is the first step. The next step is learning how to use the device. That is where MCPL can help. We not only have books on how to use cameras and apps; we also have books to determine what kind of lighting you want, how to pose someone, or the best time of day to take pictures outside. These books, as well as some videos, are not only helpful to those of you who are just learning to use your device, but also to those who just need a refresher course.
For the individuals who want to make photography into a profession, we have books on how to start, how to choose your models, and what kind of equipment is best for each situation. We also have photo idea books, such as A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book, which can lend inspiration about how to select events and position people for a better picture.
If you are just needing a little extra help on how to use your camera and other photography tips, try MCPL's Online Learning classes, available on everything from using your DSLR camera to Photoshop. These classes are free with a MCPL card, and they are extremely helpful. Once you are enrolled, there are step-by-step instructions on what you need to do to fully benefit from these classes.
So, no matter what kind of photographer you are, MCPL has the resources available at each branch and online to help you capture a moment. Now all you have to do is go outside and make the moments that you’ll want to remember.
