Can't Get Home?
April 20, 2012
A few months ago, I was running errands, and when I tried to get home, my road was blocked by the county sheriff’s department and highway patrol. There had been a fatality accident, and they didn’t know how long it would be before the road was open. So, I now had a dilemma of what to do on a hot day in a small town.
Luckily, I have a MCPL branch in my town. So, I stopped at Suzie’s, got my favorite coffee, and headed for the library. Two hours later, I decided to try to get back to my house. Unfortunately, the road was still not open. I just pulled over into a daycare parking lot, and an hour later, I was able to get home.
I was so thankful to have a library in my town. I spent two hours there and could have spent several more keeping busy with magazines, newspapers, computers, etc. If you happen to be stranded and can’t get home sometime, head for your local MCPL branch. You will be amazed how much there is to do and how fast time flies. I love you MCPL!
