Calling All Upper-elementary Aged Crafters!
October 05, 2010
Are you looking for fun crafts to do at your local library? The Red Bridge Branch offers crafts for 9-12 year olds, one Monday night per month. In the past, we have offered such varied programs as Intricate Paper Snowflakes, Celebrate Chinese New Year, Ancient Egypt Artifacts, and most recently we had Cardboard Castle Construction!
Coming on Monday, November 15th at 7pm, we will offer Native American Crafts and Games, in which you can make a pictograph scroll, a clan totem pole, or an Indian pouch to store small items in. Then, on Monday, December 13th at 7pm, we will offer Christmas Crafts from Around the World! You'll be able to choose a couple to make from such choices as a felt ornament from the US, a Ukrainian silver spider web, a crinkle paper chain from South Africa, and a woven heart ornament from Denmark! I invite you to come and meet new friends as you try your hand at these crafts.
Here's a "sneak peek" into our craft lineup for winter and spring of 2011!
Mon., January 24, 2011 at 7pm: Creating Caricatures
Mon., February 28, 2011 at 7pm: Readers Theatre Roundup
Mon., March 28, 2011 at 7pm: Spring Blooms
Mon., April 18, 2011 at 7pm: Recycled Crafts
