Cake Creations

October 20, 2011

How cute is this little guy? This was my first cake to decorate myself, and I was a little concerned. However, this cake inspired me to give cake decorating a try.

After seeing how easy it was to do, I decided to see if I could pull off another. In my search to find a book to help me, I stumbled upon a fantastic book, Cakes for Kids by Matthew Mead. The book starts off easy and progresses to harder to make cakes with lots of tips and tricks scattered throughout. It contains recipes for thirty-five easy to make cakes.

Be prepared to get some frosting on your hands and have fun while doing it!

Anna, Thank you :) I used melted chocolate chips that I pipped out onto wax paper! They melted pretty quickly but were super cute!

I've seen that site and it definitely will make you LOL

That's adorable! What did you use to make the legs? Have you tried cake-pops? Anyhow, good job!
