Book Review: Love is Murder
February 05, 2013
I just finished this page-turner. It's a compilation of short stories titled Love is Murder edited by Sandra Brown. I do mean edited by, not written by. Brown wielded her heavyweight author status to add other big names to the thriller anthology.
I found it quite delightful and filled with some of my favorite romance and mystery authors. There were some whose work I had read before but forgotten about, like Allison Brennan and Lee Child, and there were also some new writers that I will definitely add to my reading list, such as William Simon. That's the best part about a compilation of short stories. You will have a chance to "meet" new authors with a smaller time commitment than a full-scale novel.
The stories range from the standard love-mystery to paramilitary and the positively paranormal.
I would recommend it to people who may want to try a variety of scenarios outside their regular norm.
