Book Review: Getting Started in Value Investing by Charles S. Mizrahi
June 28, 2012
I loved this book. Let’s get that out of the way right away. I’ve read it at least three times, and it’s time for another read. The book is only 190 pages but packs a great foundation for a new investor and valued lessons for the seasoned. Mizrahi starts with a brief explanation and history of value investing. He then moves on to explain the misconceptions and basics of value investing. He continues with great skill explaining what makes a company great. Once he has laid out the history and basics, Mizrahi does what not many of the other investing books do. He shows you step by step how to value a company.
This book should be required reading for investors, business majors, and entrepreneurs alike. I purchased my copy after borrowing a Library copy. This is one I plan to pass it along to my children.
