The Book Club from Outer Space
September 21, 2012
Books, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Kearney Book Club. Our twelve month mission is to explore strange new genres, to seek out new plots and new characters, and to boldly go where this Book Club has never gone before!
Our group of intrepid book lovers has bravely agreed to start a genre study. Every other month or so, we’ll read a genre-specific novel. In October, we’ll launch our journey with science fiction.
Lois McMaster Bujold is the perfect author to begin our exploration. She’s a master of the craft, the winner of numerous Hugo and Nebula awards, and the writer of dozens of sci-fi best sellers. In 1986, Bujold introduced readers to Miles Vorkosigan, a character destined to become one of science fiction’s most beloved heroes. His saga, and ours, begin with The Warrior’s Apprentice.
Join us for the exciting start of our multi-genre study on Friday, October 5th at 10:00 a.m.

I wish
If only I could get a baby-sitter. That's okay. I'll read it anyway. :)
