Book Club Mania

The Lone Jack Book Club meets the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Each month, there is a lively discussion of the current book. Some will like the book, some won't it, and some won't read it all. 

The book for March, Moonflower Vine by Jetta Carleton, brought a lot of discussion. In general, everyone loved the book which was written by an author from Holden, Missouri. The author began by describing the Soames family as a whole. After setting the scene, she then discussed each character in length. At the end, the reader will want to go back over the beginning to see the characters with fresh eyes after surprise revelations are made about each person.
