Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival: September 17-19, 2010

Come visit Blue Springs, Missouri this weekend to celebrate the coming of autumn at the town’s annual Fall Fun Festival.
Beginning this Friday at noon, visitors can stroll through the streets of downtown Blue Springs and visit a wide array of craft booths while sampling delicious carnival food. The community stage on Main St. will feature performances by local dance troupes, gymnasts, and martial artists. At 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the beer garden opens on 11th and Smith St. with a main stage presenting live bands such as Cori Jo and the Outlaw Junkies and local favorite, Trampled Under Foot.
Saturday morning at 10 a.m., catch the Fall Fun Festival Parade as it marches from 15th and Vesper to 10th and RD Mize Rd. Be on the lookout for Mid-Continent’s very own Book Cart Drill Team, as they will be marching in the parade.
Other activities include a children’s area complete with a petting zoo, moonwalk, and exotic animal display. The Music Booster Club is sponsoring a Bingo Tent on the corner of 10th and Main, and there will be all the favorite carnival rides and games on the corner of 12th and Main.
Throughout the weekend, watch the Dock Dogs competition, a new favorite to the Blue Springs festival.
For your convenience, free shuttles will be running to and from the White Oak Shopping Center and the Office Depot parking lots.
