Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival 2012: September 14-16
September 10, 2012
The days are getting shorter, the nights are a little cooler, and the leaves are changing as we usher in another beautiful fall season in the Midwest. Every year, the local community is invited to spend a weekend celebrating autumn in charming downtown Blue Springs at the Blue Springs Fall Fun Festival!
This weekend, plan on bringing the whole family to Main St. in Blue Springs to enjoy some great food and entertainment. Festivities begin at noon on Friday.
Children will enjoy the carnival games and rides while adults can peruse the crafts or visit the beer garden. All can enjoy the music and dancing that will be showcased in two different performance areas throughout the weekend. Country artists 6 Degrees West and rockers Pieces of Jake will perform on the main stage Friday and Saturday evenings, respectively. This year’s festival features a Texas Hold'em tournament and several eating contests as well. The festival parade will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning with a theme of "Peace, Love, and Rock and Roll." Look for some familiar faces from your local MCPL branches, as we will be marching in the parade again this year!
Now that the weather is getting milder and we are looking for some fun activities to do outside on the weekends, it’s a great time enjoy autumn in downtown Blue Springs at the Fall Fun Festival.
