To Blog to Blog to Blog

When I typed this title (mostly out of frustration from not having any idea what to blog about), it reminded me of when Billy Crystal’s character, Miracle Max, says that the "mostly dead" hero of "A Princess Bride" has told him that the reason he might want to live is "to blave" or to bluff. The hero actually said, "True Love" was the reason he wanted to live.
I don’t know if I just happen to hang around Princess Bride fans, but a large number of people I know are known to quote from that movie from time to time. A niece of mine said that she was willing to try dating a young man when he quoted to her from the movie. If he liked the Princess Bride enough to be able to quote from it, he couldn’t be too bad.
I can understand that. When I first met my husband, I was having a conversation with another woman about the Anne of Green Gables TV series. He (my husband) said that that sounded like a show he would like to see. That sparked my interest in him right away. We ended up watching all six hours of it on our honeymoon. It has become one of our romantic things to do.
A friend put a status up on Facebook recently asking if "anybody has a droid that understands the binary language of moisture vaporators?" Some of the answers he received from myself and another were "Sorry, mine has a bad motivator," and "I should move along; mine only speaks Bocce…not the droid you’re looking for!" For those of you who don’t know, those are all from the original Star Wars.
What movies do you and your friends share a common interest in?
