Bit O' the Irish
March 11, 2011
Leprechauns, castles, good luck and laughter
Lullabies, dreams, and love ever after.
Poems and songs with pipes and drums
A thousand welcomes when anyone comes.
That's the Irish for you!
I'm looking over a four leaf clover
That I overlooked before
One leaf is sunshine, the second is rain,
Third is the roses that grow in the lane.
No need explaining the one remaining
Is somebody I adore.
I'm looking over a four leaf clover
That I overlooked before.
These are just a few of the many, many Irish sayings. Alot of them have been made into songs that have become familiar to us. We had a bit o' the Irish here at Buckner on March 10. Tom Mehann performed Irish folk songs, played guitar, and added bits of humor and stories; a good time was had by all. Have a great St. Patrick's day!
