Big Changes for North Independence Branch Homeschoolers @ the Library
December 11, 2012
Nationwide, 1.5 million children are homeschooled. The number of children being educated at home increases each year.
To more effectively meet the needs of homeschoolers and their parents, the North Independence Branch would like to announce that we are enlarging our Homeschoolers@ the Library program. Starting on January 9, 2013, we will be having an activity for homeschooling families every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
The theme in January will be Winter Fun! On January 9th, we will learn about snowflakes. On January 16th, our theme will be penguins, and on January 23rd the theme will be polar bears.
We are planning a variety of fun and educational programs each week for children in second to fifth grades. A listing of future events can be found on our website or in any of our publications. We invite you to pick up a copy of Beyond the Books today! You can also view it online.
We hope to see you in January 2013!!

We have a 7th grade daughter who is getting bullyed at school. We are trying to work with the school for a different soluation then regular middle school class envirnoment. In the meantime we are researching other options we have for her. Homeschooling.......so many questions. Is there someone who can contact us to give us basic details and what questions we need to be asking ourselves to see if this is the path for us.
