The Best Deal in Town
April 23, 2012
What a bargain! Where else can you get something these days for a nickel?
With the cost of services and products on the rise, it's nice to know that one cost has remained the same for almost 50 years. How many businesses do you know of that can say that? Of course, I'm referring to the overdue fines at MCPL; only a nickel a day per item.
I started using the Library when it was Jackson County Public Library. I remember paying an overdue fine as a child only once, as it cost me a whole week's allowance. The local library systems consolidated sometime during my grade school years, but I wasn't aware of it. The Library continued to be my favorite building in town. Eventually, I moved away from that small town and from MCPL.
Now I'm back with MCPL: first as a patron, and now as an employee of many years. I can tell you from experience, MCPL is the best deal in town-don't miss it!
