Be Careful What You Wish For!
March 04, 2013
One day last month, a co-worker and I both said that we would like to have at least a little snow this winter. It just hasn’t seemed like winter without any snow around.
Well, as you all know, we were blasted two weeks ago with at least 9 inches of snow (according to the KCI airport), and we received another 8 inches of snow last week. Needless to say, I am tired of shoveling and I am ready for it to melt! I shoveled my driveway 3 times for the first storm! As soon as I finished, it was already deep enough to shovel AGAIN! I keep telling myself that at least I don’t have to shovel my roof like they do in the northern Midwest states. I would never make it up there.
On the plus side, maybe with all the snow that came our way, we will be finished with the weatherman’s prediction that we were in a 3 year drought. At least I hope so. We have been very fortunate the last couple of years in Kansas City. And from now on, I will be VERY careful about what I wish for.
P.S. I figured that at my house, after 2 snow storms, we received between 22 and 24 inches of snow in the last 2 weeks!
