Award-Winning Author to Visit Kearney Branch

Author Barbara Stuber will join us for a discussion of her heartwarming novel, Crossing the Tracks. Listed by Kirkus as best for teens in 2010 and by YALSA as best fiction for young adults in 2011, Crossing the Tracks tells the story of a girl named Iris, who finds love and acceptance in unexpected places in the summer of 1926 after her father sends her away to work for a doctor and his mother in rural Missouri.

Crossing the Tracks will be this month’s Book Club selection on Friday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m. If you already have your own copy, bring it along. Barbara will be happy to sign it after the discussion.
