Author Charla Krupp Dies of Breast Cancer
February 02, 2012
On January 23rd, the popular author and fashion commentator, Charla Krupp, died in her Manhattan home. She was 58 years old. Krupp's husband, Richard Zoglin, called her "a pioneering journalist, a champion of women, and an amazing life force."
Chances are even if you haven’t read her books, How Not to Look Old and How to Never Look Fat Again, you probably have seen her on TV or read her articles in various magazines. She was editor, beauty director, and columnist for Glamour Magazine, People:StyleWatch, InStyle, Seventeen, More, and Town and Country. She was also editor-in-chief of Eve.com, an online beauty products retailer that operated up until the early 2000s. She also wrote for Time and USA Today. She made many appearances on Oprah, NBC’s Today Show, and ABC’s Good Morning America.
Charla wrote for real women. She believed in the power of fashion to slenderize and boost confidence, rather than starvation diets. Her tips are helpful for women of any size or shape and for any budget. The books are down-to-earth and include photos that easily show the do's and don’ts. Is someone you know celebrating a milestone birthday this year? I was given one of her books as a birthday gift and loved it!
I recently heard about mammogram parties. Check out Charla’s books, get your friends together, and have a spa day after your tests are completed.
Look your best and stay healthy in 2012.
