Are You Ready for Some Football?

September 13, 2010

Oh yes, I am! I'm not sure when my need for a football fix edged out my love for baseball, but it happened. Mind you, I'd love nothing more than to be at the Royal's game today and the Chiefs's game tonight. What a kick, that would be!

If you don't share my enthusiasm or don't even understand the game, may I suggest some titles from our shelves? If you do love the game, you'll have fun reading these as well.

You might want to try The Girlfriend's Guide to Football or Football for Dummies. If you're feeling really brave, how about Official Playing Rules of the National Football League. The print is tiny, but from Rule 1 to Rule 18, it's covered. For you advanced learners, try How Football Explains America by Sal Paolantonio. Sal is a national correspondent for ESPN and covers the NFL. This book attempts to answer the question: "Why does America love football so much?". Last but not least, how about a book for the athlete by the athlete. Football Training comes with the STACK training guides for some NFL players of today like Peyton Manning, Reggie Bush, and Julius Peppers. What teams are you watching, who are you expecting to come out on top?  Share your thoughts on teams, players or whatever you'd like to contribute. Thanks for reading.

Pass the remote!
