Are You Ready to Own the Night?

May 25, 2012

Teens, are you ready to Own the Night? The Buckner Branch is pleased to offer two very special, extraordinary, super-duper, kick-butt programs for teens this summer: after hours lock-ins! That’s right! For two nights this summer, the Buckner Branch will be open late, exclusively for teenagers. Want the details? Keep reading!

June 22, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Own the Night Part I: Book Fair of Death
It’s a book fair gone bad when world famous author Emily Thornton is found murdered right in the middle of an autograph signing. Our guests (YOU!) will act as suspects and detectives, and track down the culprit.

July 20, 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Own the Night Part II: Creature Double Feature
Why watch one creepy comedy when you can watch two? We’ll howl with laughter over The Nightmare Before Christmas and Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, and have plenty of creepy crawly snacks to boot. It’ll be enough fun to wake the dead!

Both of these events require a permission slip signed by a parent or legal guardian, and they are limited to kids in sixth grade and up. Visit the branch for a permission slip, and feel free to call if you have any questions!

We hope to see you there!
