Are You an Audiobook Fan?
September 17, 2010
Are you already an audiobook lover or perhaps thinking of trying one? The reader can make all the difference. A poor narrator can ruin an otherwise good book, and a great reader can make anything a listening pleasure.
One reader I particularly love to listen to is Barbara Rosenblat. Her voice is magical. She gives each character a personality, and she changes accents with ease. She reads for a wide variety of authors, including Katie MacAlister, Diane Mott Davidson, Elizabeth Peters, and Lisa Scottoline, just to mention a few. I have listened to books by authors I normally wouldn’t read just because she is the narrator.
If you are looking for a new reader or want your first experience with audiobooks to be a winner, give her a try. Just type her name in the author search field of the catalog to find everything she narrates. I think you will enjoy her every bit as much as I do. In fact, I think I could listen to her read the dictionary and love it.
