Join us Thursday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Raytown Branch for a special holiday program. Treat the kids to a program that's a train load of fun, filled with puppets, magic, storytelling, music, and audience participation.
This train ride will magically take the kids around the world to learn about different winter holidays like Diwali, Kwanzaa, Solstice, Lunar New Year, Ramadan, Hanukkah, and Christmas.
This program is for all ages.
Call the Raytown Library at 353-2052 to register or for more information.

I love the fact that Mr.
I love the fact that Mr. Goodin encourages multiculturalism and teaches children that most people celebrate holidays. He shows kids the similarites between cultures. But, technically Ramadan hasn't been celebrated in the winter since 1998. The month of Ramadan traditionally begins with a new moon sighting, marking the start of the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. Diwali is an autumn holiday. Diwali is celebrated in late Ashwin (September–October) and ends in early Kartika (October–November).
