Anyone Seen the New Stephanie Plum Movie?

February 06, 2012

Many of us here at the Riverside Branch are avid followers of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series. I, along with multitudes of others in the MCPL system, eagerly await the newest book in the series to read up on the latest exploits of Stephanie, Lulu, and Grandma Mazur.

Who is she going to end up with, Morelli or Ranger? Will she be able to keep this car intact, or will she end up driving the big blue Buick? What kind of havoc will Grandma wreak at the funeral home in order to get her free cookies?

Well, I didn’t have time to get to the theater this weekend, so I was just wondering if anyone made it to see One For the Money?  Let me know how you liked it.

A fair number of us from the

A fair number of us from the North Independence branch went to see it and the consensus was that the film adaptation doesn't do the books justice. I personally found the movie entertaining, but it seemed to lose steam halfway through. It definitely could have been better. If you can catch a matinee (or bear to wait for it to hit the dollar theaters) you'll most likely thank yourself later.

Glad to hear it before I went to the theater. I'll wait until I can get the DVD from the library!
