And the Winner Is...

The International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook Awards is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! They annually celebrate the most outstanding food and beverage publications. The association created this awards program to encourage and promote quality and creativity in cookbook writing and publishing, and to expand awareness of culinary literature. The IACP Cookbook Awards have become the industry's most coveted acknowledgments of excellence in the cookbook publishing world.

There are awards for the following categories: American, Baking: Sweet or Savory, Chefs and Restaurants, Children, Youth and Family, Compilations, Culinary History, First Book: The Julia Child Award, Food Matters, Food Photography and Styling, Food and Beverage Reference/Technical, General, Health and Special Diet, International, Literary Food Writing, Professional Kitchens, Single Subject, and Wine, Beer or Spirits.

Some of the winners for 2011 include:

The Lee Bros. Simple Fresh Southern by Matt Lee and Ted Lee

Chewy Gooey Crispy Crunchy Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cookies by Alice Medrich

Sara Moulton's Everyday Family Dinners by Sara Moulton

As Always, Julia: The Letters of Julia Child & Avis DeVoto by Joan Reardon

What I Eat: Around the World in 80 Diets by Peter Menzel and Faith D'Aluisio
