The American Legion Boys State of Missouri

The American Legion Boys State of Missouri took place this year June 12-19th at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. 1,000 of the top high school students come together and build an entire government in the week they are there. Using their unique abilities and beliefs, the boys create a working political system which includes law enforcement, court systems, and all the other aspects of government.
J.D. Hodgson, community member of Camden Point, age 17, was selected to attend the Boys State of Missouri in June. J.D. was selected to attend based on his leadership and citizenship skills. His accomplishments include varsity football and baseball, basketball, FFA, FCA, A+, Youth with Vision, and band. J.D. will begin his senior year at the North Platte High School starting August 2010. Way to go J.D.!
