American Girls
I am over 60 and have an American Girl doll. It was a Valentine's Day gift from my husband! She is Molly, the 1940s girl. I think they are phasing her out, which is a shame for all of us Baby Boomers and our children and grandchildren. She is a great way to talk about the sacrfices people made during the War Years.
I taught school and the children loved reading the stories and having the dolls to personalize them.
American Girl dolls are a great way to introduce history to your young ones!

Gets facts straight
Samantha is victorian. Edwardian ? Really?
Facts are Straight
The stories of Samantha and her friend Rebecca take place in 1904. Queen Victoria died in January 1901 which marked the end of the Victorian era. Her son Edward was the king in 1904. Lisa was correct when she wrote that the girls lived in the Edwardian era.
