Did you get the opportunity to watch Ken Burns' Civil War Documentary on PBS? If not, MCPL has the DVD available for check-out. I’m not much into war, but my interest was piqued after watching this documentary.

MCPL’s American Civil War Research Database is an outstanding online resource for researching the soldiers, regiments, and battles of the civil war. This database has over 17,000 photos and searchable information on over 4 million soldiers. So if you’re interested in the civil war, or even if you’re not, give this site a try. It’s really informational.
