Adopt a Shelter Dog Month

October is “Adopt a Shelter Dog” month. There are many cute and sweet-natured dogs available for adoption right here in Excelsior Springs! To see a listing of available dogs up for adoption, visit the Excelsior Springs Animal Shelter website or the Excelsior Springs Friends of Animals website for more information on fostering a dog!

Our library also has many books that will help you learn how to take care of, train, or learn about the new dog you decide to adopt or foster. Or you can check out these books if you’re interested in learning more about shelter dogs specifically and their stories!
