Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat-Month
June 03, 2011
Meet Phoebe. She is a cat that I adopted from the local shelter nearly 6 years ago. I can’t image life without her. She is cute, fun, amusing, and affectionate. Since June is ADOPT-A-SHELTER-CAT MONTH, every animal lover should check out their local animal shelter, and if possible, adopt a cat or kitten, give them a loving home, and enrich your life at the same time. Below is a list of some of the animal shelters in the local Kansas City area. Check them out and find a new addition to your family today.

Once you've adopted your cat or kitten, you can come to your local MCPL branch and check out some books on how to care for and raise your new pet.

Another shelter
There is a little-known shelter "off the beaten path" up in Savannah, Missouri, that's not too far for those living north of the river. It's M'Shoogy's Emergency Animal Rescue, and it is a no-kill facility. Their website is http://mshoogys.org. Thanks for promoting Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month!
Great Blog!
She is beautiful! My dog came from petfinder.com. One of the best things I ever did.
